Recently, there has been a viral trending video of Pastor Femi, talking about Church weddings and its irrelevance to the society and to people.

He stated during his recent Sunday sermon that Church/ white weddings are British culture that just found its way into our Nigerian society through colonialism and Neo- colonialism.

He stated also that there was nothing special about couples tying the knot in the church and tagging it as ‘church or white wedding’.

Femi Lazarus noted that as a Pastor and leader, he is always willing to bring two lovers together in holy matrimony at their consensually agreed locations selected by the couple's that are set to wed and not Mandatorily in a church.

He stated that massive weddings do not usually guarantee a happy and successful marriage. He also shared the important things to note if one chooses to hold a small wedding and that he will be willing to attend and join the couples involved, in holy matrimony.

Pastor Femi noted in his sermon that he would gladly attend and join any couple in holy matrimony as long as both parents and guardians of the couples have agreed and are both present at the location of the joining.

“Don’t break the bank to get married”.

Lastly, Pastor Femi further advised that it is not intelligent for anyone to go over their heads just to hold a ceremonial wedding.
