Labour Party Meeting Disrupted by Masked Men in Abia

A dramatic scene unfolded in Aba as masked men, allegedly policemen, stormed a Labour Party meeting, silencing members and attempting to arrest a key official.

Prince G.O. Ndubueze, secretary of the Labour party local government election committee, was targeted but party members resisted, demanding a warrant. The masked men failed to produce one.

Ndubueze accused Governor Alex Otti of intimidation, saying he's trying to impose candidates in the November 2 local government election. "We won't tolerate imposition," Ndubueze declared.

Over 500 party members marched to the Aba Area police command in protest. This incident highlights tensions surrounding the upcoming elections and concerns about government interference.

The Labour Party in Abia state vows to stand firm against imposition. Will this incident impact the election outcome?
