Transfer Market: Chelsea Makes Move On Victor Osimhen

Chelsea informed Napoli’s director during a meeting in London of their interest in signing Victor Osimhen.

However, Osimhen has made it clear that he will only consider a permanent move, not a loan, saying that he is unwilling to reduce his €11m annual salary.

Chelsea's interest in Osimhen has been consistent, despite reports suggesting otherwise, and the club is now exploring the possibility of a part-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku, who could reunite with his former manager Antonio Conte in Serie A.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest report, Chelsea is expected to sign Osimhen soon. Their interest in the player has persisted, even after signing Samu Omorodion and Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

Romano also reports that the 25-year-old striker is only interested in a permanent move and will not accept a loan deal or a reduction in his €11 million per year salary.

Former Chelsea midfielder, Obi Mikel, has encouraged Osimhen to join Chelsea, stating that it would be a wise decision.

Mikel expressed hope that Chelsea fans will soon see Osimhen at the club and emphasized that Chelsea should be his top priority.

“It would be fantastic if he came to play here,” Mikel added.

With two weeks remaining in the transfer window, Osimhen’s move is still on the table. Enzo Maresca’s side and PSG are the most likely candidates to sign him.

Florian Plettenberg reports that Victor Osimhen is determined to leave Napoli and wants the transfer completed before the deadline.

His agent is in talks with various clubs and is evaluating different options. Osimhen has made it clear to Napoli and his representatives that his preferred destination is PSG.

However, PSG faces a challenge in signing Osimhen, as they already have high-profile forwards like Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos.

It was gathered that Lukaku and Napoli have agreed personal terms, with the Belgian international greenlighting a considerable pay cut but the same can't be said for Osimhen and Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Chelsea faces three significant challenges: raising the necessary funds to purchase Osimhen, getting Napoli to accept their bid, and convincing the player that Stamford Bridge is a better option than PSG.
