The shocking Demise of Popular American producer and singer Frankie Beverly has just been announced
The R&B hitmaker died at the age of 77. His family has made the official announcement on the his official Instagram account.
“Grieving the loss of a loved one is a deep and emotional experience. During this time, as we are navigating feelings of sorrow, reflection, and remembrance we ask for privacy and understanding, allowing us the space to grieve in our own way”.
“This period is one of healing, and your respect for our need for solitude is appreciated as we honor the memory of our beloved Howard Stanley Beverly known to the world as Frankie Beverly.”
Beverly was popularly known for his soul and funk band Maze, which he formed in 1970”.

He provided countless soundtracks for numerous summer cookout and family reunions for close to five good decades.
Frank was influenced as a child by the music he heard in church, by R&B singers like Sam Cooke and Lloyd Price, and by the doo-wop group Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers.
Frankie was lead singer and songwriter of his band. He formed the ‘Maze’ formerly known as ‘Raw Soul’ in Philadelphia, his hometown.
Earlier this year, Frankie had announced a farewell tour with a handful of dates. He had said that he would retire right after going on the road one last time.
However, Frankie and Maze started and continued to tour over the decades, and finally finished with a retirement tour that concluded this just this year with an emotional performance at Philadelphia’s Dell Music Center in July.
It would be difficult to count the number of artists who have used Frankie’s music as inspiration or sampled from his ever-expanding playbook of infectious melodies and harmonies. Many have covered his work, some with more fanfare than others.
The sad news of Frankie's death has led to tone of waves of tributes, and also to plenty of fans discovering his music and the massive influence he had for the very first time. He never won any Grammys, but his legacy may speak for itself
