Bayelsa College Of Health Celebrates Record-Breaking Exam Success


The Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Bayelsa State College of Health Technology, Otuogidi, Ogbia Town, is basking in the glow of an extraordinary academic milestone. The 2024 Higher National Diploma (HND2) National WAHEB examination results are in, and the department has achieved a historic 100% pass rate.


All 16 students who sat for the rigorous national examination not only passed but did so with exceptional grades, solidifying this achievement as the best result in the history of the department’s HND program. Among the students, 11 earned Upper Credit, while 5 achieved Lower Credit, showcasing a standard of excellence that speaks volumes about the quality of education and dedication within the department.


Dr. Lokobo Abraham Jonathan, Head of the Environmental Health Sciences Department, praised the students for their commitment and resilience throughout their studies. “This is a proud moment for us all,” he said. “Our students have demonstrated hard work, focus, and an unwavering desire to succeed. It is a testament to what we can achieve with the right mindset and determination.”


The department’s success has been attributed to the collective effort of the faculty, administrative staff, and the support of the college management. Dr. Lokobo also acknowledged the unrelenting dedication of the teaching staff, who went above and beyond to ensure students were well-prepared for the examination.
