Funke Akindele and Fan Exchange Banter Over Grammar on X

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele recently had an exchange with a fan on X (formerly Twitter) concerning her upcoming movie, Everybody Loves Jennifer. A fan, Ozie Sparkles, commented skeptically, “Just hope this your movie would be worth the excessive hyping though,” alongside unimpressed emojis.

Funke, known for her wit, replied sharply with, “Seat at home darling,” implying the fan could skip the movie if unenthusiastic. However, the fan quickly corrected her grammar, pointing out that it should be “sit at home” instead of “seat.” Adding a polite tone, the fan clarified, “No offense intended.”

The box office queen took the correction in stride, replying graciously with, “Thanks darling,” accompanied by a warm emoji, showing her humorous and unbothered side.

The exchange amused fans, with many praising Funke’s ability to remain classy while interacting with critics. It also highlighted the buzz surrounding her highly anticipated movie Everybody Loves Jennifer, which continues to dominate conversations online. Fans of the iconic Jennifer series are counting down the days to its release, confident in Funke’s ability to deliver another blockbuster hit.
