Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has finally implemented minor reshuffle of his cabinet including the establishment of new ministries and redeployment of two commissioners.
Recall that three Commissioners in charge of ministries of Agriculture, Health and Science/Technology recently resigned from the State Executive Council prompting the nomination of five commissioners who were screened by the Abia State House of Assembly.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Abia State Governor, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha who released the official list of Commissioners which will form the State Executive Council and their portfolios of the newly appointed commissioners who were sworn in yesterday said the decision was aimed at ensuring efficient delivery of democracy dividends.

Mr Mike Akpara, former Finance Commissioner is now the Commissioner for Industry and SMEs, while Matthew Ekwuruibe, former Digital Economy and SME Commissioner, now holds the position for the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy.
Otti emphatically stated to the newly appointed commissioners that the appointments were made to re-energize and strengthen the State Executive Council. He also warned against infighting, stressing that his administration has zero tolerance for corruption and any act disposable to bringing the government dishonour.
The new composition of the State Executive Council includes:

8. 8. Prof. Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche – Honourable Commissioner for Health
