How to Check 2024 WASSCE Result


The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.


WAEC made this known on X, their official social media platform on Monday, August, 08, 2024.


The Examination body stated that it withheld the results of 215,267 candidates from the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.(WASSCE) due to various records of cases of examination malpractice.


WASSCE was held between April 30 to June 24, 2024 spanning for a period of seven weeks and six days across four Countries in West Africa including Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone and The Gambia.



Record shows that a  total of 1,814,736 candidates registered for the examination from 25,126 secondary schools across Nigeria but only 1,805,216 candidates sat the examination.


From the statement, 1,685,889 (93.39 percent) participants of the examination have all their papers processed and released from the total number of candidates that sat the exam in Nigeria while 119,327 candidates (representing 6.61 percent) have some subjects still being processed.


*How to Check WAEC Results with SMS:*


To check your WAEC results using SMS, follow these simple steps:


- Using your mobile device, type the following format: WAEC_ExamNo_PIN_ExamYear (e.g., WAEC_1234567890_1234567890_2024)

- Send the message to 32327

- You will receive a message instantly containing your WAEC statement of result


Important Notes:


- Only MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers can check their WAEC results using this SMS method.

- If you didn't receive your result, repeat the step.

- SMS charges apply, so ensure you have sufficient airtime balance.


*How to Check via the Website:*


To check your WAEC results online, follow these steps:


- Visit the WAEC result checker website: (link unavailable)

- Log in with your credentials (WAEC scratch card may be required for authentication)

- Follow these steps:

  - Enter your Examination Number (as on your WAEC registration slip)

  - Select Examination Type (e.g., May/June or Nov/Dec)

  - Select Exam Year (e.g., 2024)

  - Click on Check Result

- Ensure you have a stable internet connection to avoid errors.

- Use a valid WAEC scratch card to authenticate your login.

- If you encounter issues, try repeating the steps or contacting WAEC support.
