I Spent 3.5 Years in My Mother’s Womb - Ex-Gov Amosun

Former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun recently dropped a jaw-dropping story that has everyone talking. At the 25th remembrance prayer for his late mother Alhaji  Rafatu Sanusi-Amosun, the former governor revealed that he spent three and a half years in her womb.

During this unusual pregnancy, his father feared the worst, reportedly preparing fuel to burn his body if he didn’t survive. When he was finally born, the scene was chaotic; people were said to have fled in disbelief, shocked at the arrival of a child they had considered a miracle—or even impossible.

Amosun’s story has stirred fascination and amazement, as it’s the kind of tale rarely heard outside of folklore. His account reminds many of the old wives’ tales of babies born under unique and mysterious circumstances, believed to be destined for great things. In sharing this, Amosun honors his mother’s memory and the prayers he believes have helped him through his life journey.
