Nigerian controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky has been released from prison.

Bobrisky who regained freedom from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Monday around 10am was sentenced to six months imprisonment.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced Bobrisky for Naira abuse in April.
During his trial, the EFCC prosecution counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, told the court that Bobrisky committed the offence on March 24, 2024, at IMAX Circle Mall, Jakande Lekki.
He said Bobrisky, while dancing at a social event, tempered with the sum of N400,000, issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying the same.

The judge, while giving the sentence to the controversial cross-dresser without an option of fine, stated that his sentence would serve as an example for others who abuse the Naira note.
His jail term began on 24 March, coinciding with the day of his arrest.
