Kendrick Lamar set to Electrify Super Bowl Halftime Show

American rapper Kendrick Lamar, is said to make headlines, as he gets ready to solo for the Super Bowl halftime show

The National Football League, Roc Nation and Apple Music had just announced that the California-born rapper will headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show on February 9th in New Orleans.

Kendrick Lamar Duckworth popularly called Kendrick Lamar is an American songwriter and rapper. He is recognized as one of the most critically and commercially successful rapper from the early 21st century.

He grew up in Compton, California, He began writing songs at a very young age. Lamar, has since been a know figure and rapper allover the. Continent. He has had several performances with many top artists such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Mary J. Bilge.

He does the West coast Hiphop, progressive rap, Jazz rap and hiphop gangsta rap.

He is well known for his technical artistry and complex songwriting. He has a partner, Whitney Alford. They have both been together for decades. The pair has been an item since they were teenagers he is a proud father of two. The ‘Humble’ crooner shares a son Enoch and a daughter Uzi, with his partner.

Reacting to his announcement as the headliner of the Super Bowl halftime show, Lamar said he would be on the show to show the world that rap is still the most impactful genre.

Jay-Z who is the founder of ‘Roc Nation and a rap artist, well known as one of the greatest legends, had this to say about Kendrick

“Kendrick is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer”.

“He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. His work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come”.

“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one”.

The Grammy-winning artist previously performed on the Super Bowl stage in 2022, as part of the event’s first showcase for hip-hop music.

Lamar’s headline show on the Super Bowl comes amid his messy beef with Drake who has previously bragged in one of his songs about being as big as the Super Bowl.
