In a bold move to combat environmental pollution, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed several establishments across the state for alleged violations of noise pollution regulations. This crackdown is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to ensure a healthier, quieter environment for residents.
Babatunde Ajayi, LASEPA's General Manager, announced the closures, which include notable locations such as The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Polite Anchorage and Suites, and Vital Products Limited. Ajayi emphasized that these businesses had been warned multiple times about their non-compliance with environmental laws.
“Business owners must adhere to the environmental regulations in place. Ignoring these laws will no longer be tolerated,” Ajayi declared. The agency’s decisive action underscores its commitment to maintaining public health and tranquility in the bustling metropolis of Lagos.
The closures serve as a stark reminder for all establishments to monitor their noise levels and comply with state regulations. LASEPA encourages all businesses to take these guidelines seriously to avoid penalties and ensure a harmonious coexistence with the community.
