After months of intense negotiations, the Federal Government and Organised Labour have signed a landmark Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) on consequential salary adjustments. This deal is a direct result of the new Minimum Wage Act 2024, setting the minimum wage at Seventy Thousand Naira.
The agreement is being hailed as a significant victory for workers, with both parties agreeing on salary adjustments. Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCFS), described the negotiations as the "shortest and most peaceful yet.’’
