Olushola made history in 2021 as the first student to ever graduate with a first-class degree in Mathematics since the university’s inception in 1982. His unparalleled performance shattered a long-standing barrier and cemented his place as one of Nigeria’s brightest minds.

After graduating, he completed his mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as an assistant lecturer at The Polytechnic Ibadan, where he honed his skills in teaching and research.
Upon completing his service year, OOU quickly recognized his talent and offered him a permanent position as a Graduate Assistant (GA) at his alma mater. In this role, Olushola took on multiple responsibilities, from proctoring exams and grading papers to conducting tutorials and assisting the Head of Department with extracurricular activities. Balancing his duties with personal development, Olushola pursued a Master of Science in Mathematics at the same university, graduating in 2021. Yet, his journey was not without challenges.
