In another development, the recent explosion at the Action People’s Party’s Rivers State Secretariat has been condemned by the party’s National Chairman, Uche Nnadi, who calls it treasonable and an act of terrorism.
Nnadi’s remarks followed the bombing of the APP secretariat in the GRA axis of the city, which occurred early morning on Monday, during his address to journalists in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The attack, which took place shortly after some members of the party left the office after a late-night meeting, has prompted anxiety about the security situation in the area.
Nnadi expressed relief that there were no casualties in the explosion, praising the divine intervention that ensured the safety of the party members.
The APP chairman urged the security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and bring culprits to book.
He urged party members and supporters to stay composed and abide by the law, assuring them that the party would not be threatened by such acts of violence.
