1. Royal Heritage and Early Life

Born on December 25, 1973, in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Dr. Eruani hails from the royal family of Chief Allwell Eruani, the Obanema of Emadike, Aguda the IX, and Mrs. Rachael Eruani. His early years were spent in Epebu, Emadike, and later Port Harcourt, where he attended Kumoni Secondary School while living with his uncle, Chief (Engr.) Okori Obana Christopher.

2. Medical Doctor with Global Credentials

Dr. Eruani graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Port Harcourt and furthered his studies in surgery and family medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has attended specialized courses in energy, petroleum, and power project management globally.

3. From Medicine to Oil and Gas

Dr. Eruani Azibapu started his career in medicine, practicing with Westend Clinic, Ashford & Patrick Hospital, and the Bayelsa State Civil Service. He also worked as a professional industrial medical practitioner for Nigerian Agip Oil Company before transitioning into public service and entrepreneurship.

4. Special Adviser and Commissioner

In the administration of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as Governor of Bayelsa State, Dr. Eruani served as a special adviser on HIV/AIDS and community health, as well as the chairman of the State Action Committee on AIDS (SACA). He was later appointed as the Commissioner for Health in Bayelsa State.
