French giants, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman.
PSG's interest in Lookman arose due to Goncalo Ramos' extended injury absence.
According to reports, PSG has offered the 26-year-old Nigerian footballer a contract worth €4.5 million per season.
However, Atalanta FC is considering including a clause in the deal for a substantial renewal of €3.5 million per season.
Atalanta values Lookman at €40 million and is firm on this valuation, although Arsenal is reportedly showing considerable interest.
According to TonyclaudeGunnerTV on X (formerly Twitter), the Gunners have offered the sum of €50million including other bonuses for the Nigerian Winger, Ademola Lookman.
Liverpool has also indicated interest in signing Lookman at the background with Atalanta reportedly demanding €65-70m for the player.
Lookman is now keen on moving to the French capital once his transfer is finalized.
Alfredo Pedulla reported on Wednesday, August 21st, that the 26-year-old player failed to show up for Atalanta’s training with indications that his absence was authorized.
The player's absence has nothing to do with French giants, PSG, but the Premier League is giving leads concerning the events.
The Super Eagle player was notably absent from Atalanta’s squad at their season's opener against US Lecce. It was also reported that he requested to be absent from the Serie A opening game.
The 26-year-old player was named Man of the Match at the UEFA Europa League Finals, for his consistently high performance in the Europa League finals on May 22nd, 2024, where he netted a hat-trick in their 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen.
Lookman had a 20-goal contribution for Atalanta FC in the previous season, providing Eight (8) assists and netting 12 times in all competitions.
The Nigerian player had a blazing escapade at the 2024 AFCON with Super Eagles who finished as runners-up in Côte d’Ivoire where he netted three goals in the tournament
The Nigerian player, Lookman, has also been nominated for the African Player of the Year 2024 Award among other African Football players.
The award category includes other players like Sebastian Haller from South Africa, Victor Boniface also from Nigeria, and Mohammed Salah from Egypt.
