Bayern Gears Up For Epic Clash Against Leverkusen

Bayern Munich are looking forward to the prospect of facing champions Bayer Leverkusen, Head coach Vincent Kompany stated on Friday, as his side look to re-assert themselves as top dogs in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich has been nothing short of sensational under Kompany, winning all six of their matches across competitions.

Currently sitting at the top of the Bundesliga standings with a perfect record, they have dazzled fans by scoring a staggering 20 goals in their last three outings.

"We've scored 20 goals in the last three games, but it's my job to show what we can do better. Anything is possible in a game like against Leverkusen. We'll prepare the team to perform to their max on Saturday. Then we move on."

While Bayern's attacking prowess has been the talk of the town, their success is equally rooted in defensive strength. The team has recorded two clean sheets in their four league matches, showcasing a well-rounded approach to the game.

In a commanding 5-0 victory against Werder Bremen last week, Bayern didn't allow their opponents a single shot on target, demonstrating their defensive discipline.

Kompany praised the collective effort that has made this possible, saying: "We didn't allow a single chance against Bremen. That's not just down to the defense.”

"We need to do everything as a team. We've done that very well in the last few games. I have a lot of trust in the squad."

With their eyes set on Saturday's duel against Leverkusen, who notably ended Bayern’s decade-long title reign last season by finishing the league unbeaten, Kompany and his squad are eager to showcase their capabilities.

"It's good that everyone's excited about the game. Obviously, it'll be an important game, against the best team from the last 12 months. We're looking forward to the game. It won't be easy," he emphasized.

Meanwhile, FC Bayern took to their official X handle @FCBayernEN to tweet “Top of the table clash Oktoberfest home game. On Saturday we take on Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena. Let's do this together” the caption reads.

Following the highly anticipated match against Leverkusen, Bayern will face a challenging trip to England to take on Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League, adding further excitement to their busy schedule.

As the countdown begins to this monumental clash, Bayern fans are hopeful that their team will not only maintain their perfect start to the season but also reclaim their position at the summit of German football.
