Vivian, who publicly transitioned in 2022 and changed her name from Xavier, expressed her disillusionment with the political environment, particularly Trump's re-election. She shared on Threads, "I don’t see my future being in the United States," citing the persistence of anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments among Trump supporters.
Musk responded on X, saying, "The woke mind virus killed my son." The two have been estranged since 2022, with Vivian accusing Musk of transphobia and cruelty during her transition. This deepening rift highlights the tension between family, politics, and identity, marking a new chapter in their strained relationship.
