As Nigeria continues to experience flooding in different parts of the country, the cause of flood, most times, is not far fetched. It is said that the opening of dams and release of water by neighborhing countries has been the cause of flooding in the country.
Recently, the federal government was informed by the Lagdo dam in Cameroon that there will be release of water which will increase gradually for the next seven days.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Hydrological Service Agency, has also informed states in the country, especially State contingous to the River Benue system to prepare for the situation ahead of time.
