In a show of support for youth development, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has welcomed the 2024 Batch C, Stream 1 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to Bayelsa State, encouraging them to approach their service year with determination and purpose.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, saw the Governor represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Alfred Kemepado. Addressing the corps members, the Governor’s representative praised their resilience and achievements, urging them to bring the same spirit to their year of national service.
“Today is a testament to your hard work and dedication,” the Governor remarked. “This is more than a call to serve; it’s an opportunity to grow, contribute to national development, and prepare for the future.”
