The 2023 Governorship Candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu and his running mate, Hon Jones Onyereri have denied parting ways over the outcomes of the last congresses of the party in the state.
In a statement issued by their spokesman, Ikenna Onuoha, the duo said they are rather on same page over the outcomes of the congresses which have thrown up new executives of the party at local government and state levels.

They disclosed that their interests were taken into consideration, pointing out that they share similar vision of developing the state instead of controlling the party.
According to them, their relationship is still cordial, undivided and glued in love and their interest before, during and after the congresses were put into considerations and protected accordingly.
Anyanwu, who is the National Secretary of the PDP and Hon Onyereri, a former member of the House of Representatives described the new executives of the party as trusted members of the party who believe in their political ideology.
They lashed out at people insinuating a faceoff between them as enemies of the party.
Hear them; “The truth of the matter is that the relationship of the two leaders is cordial, undivided and glued in love. Their interests before, during and after the congress were put into considerations and protected accordingly.
“Senator Samdaddy and Rt. Hon Onyereri share similar vision aimed at making Imo safe again and not controlling the party.
“It is noteworthy that those elected in the congress are trusted members of PDP in the state who believe in the political ideologies of the two leaders. Those struggling to create ill-feelings by peddling falsehood targeted at pitching the two leaders against each other are enemies of PDP and therefore, should not be taken serious”.
The duo alleged that those insinuating a cold war between them were simply dismayed that they can no longer cause an implosion in the state because of the caliber of people that constitute the executive of the party in the state.
They added; “Credible information gathered revealed that some mischief makers are afraid that going by the calibre of persons elected to pilot the affairs of the party in the state, these displaced individuals do not have any base to cause disunity in the party, and to them; the only way to penetrate is to create fiction and formalize innuendoes to score cheap political relevance. But they won't succeed!”
