Music icon Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter faces serious allegations after being named in a federal lawsuit accusing him and Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2000. The plaintiff, identified only as "Jane Doe," claims the assault occurred at an after-party following the MTV Video Music Awards.
The federal lawsuit, originally filed in October naming only Combs, was refiled on December 8 to include Jay-Z as a co-defendant.According to the complaint, the girl was driven to the party, where she was allegedly drugged and assaulted. Jane Doe claims both men took part in the abuse, which has been described as a traumatic ordeal.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the plaintiff, has been involved in several lawsuits targeting Combs for sexual misconduct in recent months. While these cases have previously involved anonymous plaintiffs, this is the first to implicate another high-profile figure alongside Combs.
Both Jay-Z and Combs have denied the allegations, with Jay-Z calling them baseless and a "blackmail attempt.
