Just In: Okpebholo Sworn In As Edo Governor

Edo governor elect; Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy Dennis Idahosa have been sworn in as the Governor and Deputy Governor of Edo State, respectively to govern the state for a period of four years.


Their inauguration ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.


Governor Okpebholo takes over from Godwin Obaseki who governed the state for eight years being a two-term governor.


The new Governor who is of the All Progressives Congress defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Asue Ighodalo in the September 21 election.
