It has been confirmed that Robert Lewandowski will not be available for Poland's upcoming Nations League matches in November, which include fixtures away to Portugal and at home to Scotland.
The Polish Football Association announced that Lewandowski will miss the national team’s training camp due to a back injury sustained during Barcelona’s 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad on Sunday.
This marks Lewandowski's second consecutive league match without scoring. Despite this, he still leads the La Liga scoring chart with 14 goals, while Vinícius Júnior follows with 8.
In 2024, Robert Lewandowski has played 10 matches for Poland, netting two goals, both from penalties. He scored once in Euro 2024 against France and again in the Nations League against Scotland. Along with his goals, he has also registered four assists.
Furthermore, a statement from the Polish Football Association says:
"The Polish Football Association informs that Robert Lewandowski will not take part in the November training camp of the Polish national team preparing for the UEFA League of Nations matches against Portugal and Scotland.
The reason for the national team captain's absence is the back injury he suffered in a league match against Real Sociedad, ruling him out of the game for around 10 days."
