Reports have confirmed that, Real Madrid, has not hesitated to show its support to their striker while Kylian Mbappe is going through a major media crisis.
Recall Niger Delta Connect reported that, the 25-year-old striker did not hesitate to speak out on social networks on Monday, stating that the rumours linking him to a rape case were false: "FAKE NEWS!!!! It's becoming so predictable, the day before a hearing as if by chance."
Also recall that, France coach Didier Deschamps said that a report claiming captain Mbappe was being investigated for rape in Sweden "is not a good thing for the national team".
Although, the football world continued to go into overdrive, but the details became more and more important as the hours went by.
According to multiple Swedish media outlets, the captain of the French national team was a part of the rape incident that took place last week at a Stockholm hotel, which was the same hotel where Real Madrid striker stayed during the holiday given by his club.
However, a new information regarding the striker's case emerged on Tuesday. The Swedish courts confirmed that an investigation had been initiated, but without specifically mentioning Mbappe's possible involvement.
In a statement on Tuesday, Sweden's Prosecution Authority said: "In response to media reports about a suspected rape in Stockholm, the prosecutor can confirm that a criminal report has been submitted to the police."
On the other hand, the Real Madrid striker has been removed from an advertising campaign linked to his club.
However, according to information seen, this change has nothing to do with the Swedish affair as it is simply a question of marketing quotas between Adidas and Nike.
According to reports, the club and brands use the 3x1 rule for every Real Madrid post on social media, which involves three Adidas players for one Nike player. Here, Jude Bellingham, Linda Caicedo and Signe Bruun are a part of Adidas. Sergio Llull was chosen for the basketball section post, which requires one of the team's players to participate. Sergio Llull is sponsored by Nike.
Furthermore, the media storm that Mbappe is now involved in is the most important issue, and from the information gathered, it has been confirmed that the Madrid club has no concerns about the possibility that its number nine may be involved in the rape affair.
Real Madrid has reportedly expressed full confidence in Mbappe's statement that he is not involved in any way. The France international has the support of his club at a time when he is in turmoil.
