Otti Urges Abians to Embrace Love, Sharing at Christmas

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has urged Christians to embrace the spirit of sharing, love, and care, emphasizing that the true joy of Christmas lies in selflessness.


In his festive message to the people of Abia on Wednesday, Governor Otti encouraged Christians to reflect on the love of God for humanity, exemplified through the birth of Jesus Christ, which he described as the foundation for mankind’s eternal redemption.


Governorr Otti also took the opportunity to highlight the achievements of his administration over the past year. He noted that the state government had put in place robust security measures to ensure the safety of citizens throughout the holiday season.


He reassured Abians that their safety was a priority, adding that these efforts would continue into the new year.


“We have made significant strides in expanding our governance footprint across all communities in the state,” Governor Otti said.


He pointed to infrastructure improvements, particularly in road development, as a key highlight of his administration’s efforts to enhance the state’s connectivity.


Additionally, he mentioned strategic development initiatives in health, education, entrepreneurship, and social protection, all aimed at improving the quality of life for Abians.

He further appealed to road users to follow traffic regulations, stressing the need for caution to ensure the safety of all motorists and pedestrians. “Let us collectively commit to safety by restraining ourselves from going overboard in our celebrations,” Otti urged.
