VeryDarkMan in the news again as Esinjemiyotan Atsepoyi, the wife of popular Nigerian comedian Mr. Jollof, has filed a N500 million defamation lawsuit against activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan.
This follows a series of explosive allegations by the Abuja-based activist, who claimed that Esinjemiyotan used improper means to secure her husband’s political appointment as Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori. Additionally, Otse accused her of committing adultery with a “Yahoo boy” and several politicians, sparking a public uproar.
In retaliation, Esinjemiyotan is demanding N500 million in compensation for damages caused to her reputation and business. She has given Otse a 30-day deadline to defend his claims in court. In her four-page writ of summons, she also seeks a public apology in two national newspapers and on all of Otse’s social media platforms.
Esinjemiyotan has made it clear that she won’t allow her name to be dragged through the mud, vowing to fight the allegations and clear her reputation.
