The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara, is dead.
Report says Ayilara died in the early hours of Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, after undergoing a surgical procedure.
No official confirmation from his family or police authorities, but a police officer attached to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command told our correspondent that they were in a mourning mood following the death of the CP.
