A devastating road accident occurred on Sunday, along the Umuikaa axis of the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway in Abia State, resulting in the loss of at least 11 lives, including two infants, leaving two passengers with severe injuries.
An eyewitness, Ochiegbu Marvellous, said a Sienna car belonging to Abia Line Network, carrying a full load of passengers, including two infants, lost control and collided with a heavily loaded truck before crashing into a nearby bush.
"The impact was catastrophic, leaving a trail of destruction and claiming multiple lives".
However, official confirmation from the police and FRSC authorities is still pending.
