Comedian and show host, Akpobome Ogude popularly known as Ogus baba on Friday cheated death after his car slipped off the road and somersaulted several times.
The incident which happened in Omerelu, a border town between Rivers and Imo States attracted sympathizers to the scene.
Ogus baba who is the Chief Executive Officer of Megafun Plus, an entertainment and media company was on his way to Asaba, Delta State from Port Harcourt when the incident happened.
According to him, he was on phone with a friend when he heard a loud bang which turned out to be the sudden loss of the two front tyres and all he saw was his driver struggling to bring the car under control.
He said: "Everything happened within seconds. It was like a flash. I was on the phone when I heard the sound of the tyres. The two front tyres. The burst of the tyres made my driver to be struggling. All I could do was shout the name of Jesus and then the car slipped of the road and started to somersault and landed in a compound.
"It landed with the place where I was sitting. I became temporarily unconscious when it started to somersault but to the glory of God, my driver and I came out unhurt. It was a miracle. Those who came to rescue us thought we were dead. It was just a miracle because we ran into an electric pole before the car finally stopped.
"This could only be God. It is a huge testimony and I am grateful to the Almighty. Yes, my car is a mess. A complete wreck. I don't know if it can ever be fixed again. My life and that of my driver is much more important. A car can be replaced but not life. God is indeed faithful."
Ogus baba said the incident has reinforced his faith in God and has again reaffirmed that miracles still happen, adding that he is still in shock on how he escaped unhurt.
"I saw death knocking. It was a close shave with death but the devil and his lieutenants came late. I'm not just called Jesus Baby Boy for nothing. I belong to Christ and I have seen him work wonders for me and my family. This is a clear testament to that fact", he said.
He thanked all those who have reached out to him to express their sympathy and disclosed that he is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
