Envy, Jealousy, Rivalry- Ngozi Nwosu Rips Nollywood Open

Nollywood veteran, Ngozi Nwosu, has opened up about her remarkable journey in the film industry, sharing hard-won wisdom on navigating jealousy and overcoming challenges. 


With a career spanning many years, Nwosu has faced her fair share of obstacles, but her resilience and determination have enabled her to thrive. 


She offered valuable advice on how to manage the cutthroat nature of the industry, where jealousy and rivalry often threaten to derail even the most talented stars. 


Ngozi Nwosu is a veteran Nollywood actress and film producer who initially, began her acting career in Yoruba films. She’s also a mother of two beautiful identical twin daughters.


The 63 year old actress who was sometime popularly known as ‘Peaceful Peace’ in a family comic film ‘Fuji House of Commotion’ thoroughly explained why one needs to know what they want in life and not letting circumstances cloud them.


Nwosu insisted that, every industry or field has its own phase of life, but, one’s ability to confront issues and stand firm in overcoming them, is the key. Nwosu, who has been in the industry for over thirty years, also stated that another way overcome these challenges in the industry, is when they also have a passion for acting. She also said that this new generation actors have got it so easy compared their time onset in their careers.


“It was tough for all of us, even though I know that this new generation actors are enjoying themselves. They never suffered half of what we did. We are the pioneers and so we have laid the ground for you people to walk on”.


In a reported interview, she advised about the importance of of having the ability to withstand heat, knowing that there’s no field without numerous challenges facing them.

“Challenges are unavoidable, it’s a thing in our lives, they will come, but don’t let these challenges challenge you. When the challenges come, face them head on and Challenge them”.


“I don’t look like what I have been through. To God be the glory because, I have learnt one thing and that is, to face my challenges squarely and face it when they come. Honestly, being a veteran has not been moi-moi, it has not been moi-moi in Nollywood. I am sure my colleagues can attest to it”.


Nwosu also emphasized the need to know and serve God rightly and to be prayerful at all times.

“If you are not the strong type that has spirit and doesn’t have God behind you, you will wither away. This thing we are saying is not easy”.


She concluded by mentioning that, Yes, the industry has become everyone’s affair, but, it’s still needs actors, actresses, directors and producers who know their onion.

“If you have passion for it, no matter the storm, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel”.
