Cole Palmer has been voted the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September 2024.
On Friday, the official EPL website confirmed that Palmer dominated the Premier League in both goals and goal assists in September, netting a total of five goals and providing one assist in just four appearances.
Palmer's most significant feat was during Chelsea's 6-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, where he broke the Premier League record by scoring four goals in the first half of a game.
However, His incredible four-goal haul occurred within 21 minutes, showcasing his exceptional finishing ability and composure under pressure.
This ferocious performance was sufficient in ensuring his place in the league's history books.
Besides scoring against Brighton, Palmer also contributed an assist in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and again found the back of the net in Chelsea's 3-0 win over West Ham United. The contributions made by him further strengthened his case for the award.
Palmer has won his second Player of the Month award, having previously won it in April 2024.
However, the consistency of his performance is evident, as he has won two of the last three awards.
Following the public vote on the EA SPORTS website, which was combined with the votes of a panel of football experts, it resulted in the 22-year-old Chelsea player securing the top spot on the eight-man shortlist.
Meanwhile, Palmer has already begun October in a strong manner by providing an assist in a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.
With 11 goals this season, he is leading the Premier League with his tally and will be looking to increase his tally when Chelsea returns to action against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, 20 October.
According to the EPL website, the Barclays Manager of the Month for September will be revealed soon, and it will continue the series of prestigious recognitions for Premier League stars.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday Palmer was named the England Men’s Player of the Year for 2024.
Moving on, Chelsea FC took to their official X feed to commend the English International’s feat.
