President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 for a three-day official visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The trip was at the invitation of President Teodoro Mbasogo. He arrived at the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 2 pm, boarded the presidential jet and was saluted by senior military personnel and government officials.

APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and the President's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila were at the airport to bid the President farewell.
Recall that Presidential Spokesman Ajuri Ngelale announced that Tinubu would hold meetings with Mbasogo and sign agreements on oil and gas and security.
