Nigeria's Insecurity: Obasanjo Calls for Urgent Action

"The situation is worse than it was during my tenure," he said. Obasanjo advocated for community policing, citing its effectiveness in identifying security threats.


Governor Bala Mohammed, who hosted Obasanjo, highlighted his administration's efforts to improve infrastructure. Obasanjo inaugurated several road projects, including the dualization of major roads.


The former president also announced plans to distribute hearing aids to 10,000 indigent individuals in the North-East through his foundation.


Obasanjo's comments come amid growing concerns over Nigeria's insecurity. The government has faced criticism for its handling of the crisis.
