Real Madrid Star Bellingham Sidelined for One Month over Injury

Real Madrid has confirmed that Jude Bellingham will be sidelined for a month due to a calf injury. The young player sustained the injury during a training session on Friday, August 23.

The club's medical report released the same day, revealed that Bellingham had been diagnosed with an injury to the plantaris muscle in his right leg. He is expected to return after the upcoming FIFA break.

Apart from Bellingham, Real Madrid's midfielder, Camavinga is also out with an injury he sustained during training for the UEFA Super Cup earlier this August.

According to the teams’ coach, Carlos Ancelotti, who clearly stated his stance concerning the transfer market, he won’t be pressured into signing another midfielder in Bellingham’s’ absence bearing in mind their absence will not exceed one month.

The team's coach highlighted that they have capable backups like Tchouameni and other young players ready to step in during challenging times.

After being ruled out of the upcoming games, the 21-year-old midfielder expressed his deep regret and frustration on his X account.

He also expressed gratitude towards fans and supporters, stating that he would "support the lads like a fan” until he gets back on his feet.

The comments section of his post was filled with well-wishes and support from fellow Real Madrid players, including Kylian Mbappe, Luka Modric, Vinicius Jr., Brahim Diaz, and Marquee.

According to reports, the heartbreaking setback means Bellingham will be unavailable for selection under England for the Nations League, where England will compete against the Republic of Ireland and Finland next month.

Earlier reports stated that the England International star will also be missing La Liga matches where Real Madrid will clash with Real Valladolid on Sunday, August 25, and subsequently Las Palmas and Real Betis. The 21-year-old midfielder was vital in securing the teams’ Champions League and La Liga titles.

Reports indicate that the England international, who transferred to Real Madrid in 2023, is among the most expensive British players in history. His high-profile move has made him a key figure in the team's lineup.

The transfer, which garnered significant attention, underscores his value and potential in European football. As one of the priciest British exports, his performance at Real Madrid is closely watched by fans and analysts alike.
