The people of Rumuepirikom Kingdom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State have declared their support and loyalty to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike.
Staging a peaceful walk along some major roads within the kingdom in Port Harcourt, they also advocated for the peace of the state amidst the ongoing political crises.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the peaceful walk, Chairman, Rumuepirikom Kingdom Council, Emma Okas Wike, frowned at attempts by some political actors in the state to erase the legacies left behind by the former Rivers helmsman.
He also cautioned against promoting ethnic sentiment, which he noted is capable of jeopardizing the peace in the state, adding that the projects embarked upon by the immediate past governor in the state speak for itself.
On her part, the Woman Leader and ChairLady Rumueporikom Kingdom Council, Mrs Stella Weli Wosu urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to go and reconcile with the FCT Minister, for the peace and development of the state.
Also, the Youth President of Rumueporikom Kingdom, Engr Samuel Amadi called on politicians in the state to shun violence and embrace peace for the sake of the progress of the state.
He said that the FCT Minister is a man of vision who has good plans for the state and the country and enjoined Governor Fubara to follow in his steps by focusing on delivering good governance in the state.
