A 12-second video went viral as Nigerian thrift vendor, identified as @zeemrahfernandez, expressed shock and frustration on TikTok after discovering a signed-out shirt in her imported bale of clothes.


The shirt features multiple autographs by individuals, especially students, a culture usually performed when people graduate from Nigerian Higher institutions.

The sign-out shirt was added to the bale of clothes ordered by the vendor meant for resale, leaving her questioning why it was included.


Her video sparks online discussions about the quality and contents of imported clothing bales, resonating with thrift vendors who rely on these bales for stock.

In another Development, The Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, 05, September 2024 confirmed the arrest of one Adeleye Ayomide, 23, who is accused of killing Idowu Christiana, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State.


The Police Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin stated this in a message he shared on his X handle, confirming that the suspect has been handed over by the Nigerian army.

He wrote, “23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye has been handed over to #LagosPoliceNG by 9 Brigade #HQNigerianArmy. The handover took place today, September 5, 2024, at about 1400hrs. Investigation is ongoing”.


The spokesperson, 81 Division Nigerian Army, Lt-Col. Olabisi Ayeni had earlier confirmed Ayomide’s arrest. According to Ayeni, the suspect was arrested by men of the 174 Battalion.

“Yes. I am aware about the issue. We arrested him and the 9 Brigade Nigerian Army will be handing him over to the Lagos State Police Command today, so you can liaise with them for further information.” He had said.


Information from reliable sources disclosed that the deceased who was on her industrial attachment had sought shelter at Ayomide’s place when it started raining, which resulted into a homicide and then a staged abduction with a ransom demand.
